The Indonesian University of Education has again produced a new work from a professor, Prof. Dr. Idrus Affandi S.H., a writer and presenter at the 2nd book review, which was held on Friday (19/03)/2021) on UPI TV. Idrus Affandi is a Professor of Political Education at the Indonesian Education University. In addition, he is also the Secretary of the Trustee at the Indonesian Education University. This time, the book review was titled “Back to the Original 1945 Constitution,” which was held via Zoom meeting and broadcast live on UPI’s YouTube TV channel by live streaming. Nisrina Salma Raniahwati hosted this event.
The background of the book’s compilation stems from his concern about Indonesian politics which is increasingly leading to liberal democracy rather than Pancasila democracy. This book was written with the hope that the Constitution would be amended again to the original 1945 Constitution, which followed the characteristics of Indonesia.
Compiled carefully and in stages, this book is the result of observing the reforms of this country. The reforms going on for 23 years resulted in many significant events that impacted this country, event after the event being reviewed. According to Idrus, one way to return the Constitution to the 1945 Constitution is observing actual events. With the hope that the Constitution is returned to the original 1945 Constitution and under the characteristics of Indonesia.
