This course is part of the thematic course, but some emphasize “practice” researching Local History. An outline of the development of local history in Indonesia from traditional to modern forms (analytical-critical type) and its characteristics are discussed in more detail. Besides, there are also problems concerning the advantages and constraints in developing research and development of Local History in Indonesia. This course also provides opportunities for students to develop fundamental research skills, including how to find and develop local historical sources, source analysis, fact analysis, and the writing process.
