General Nasution’s Favorite Lesson
Nasution is a prominent child in his school with a great interest in history and earth science subjects. At that time, he understood that Indonesia’s so-called history was the history of the Dutch war, which gradually conquered the kingdoms in Indonesia. His reading of world history began to make him think about Indonesia’s position in the world order with the hope that in the future, the country still called the Dutch East Indies would play a role in international politics (Nasution, 1982:17).
