President Seoharto’s son is ticketed.

This law enforcement effort by the National Police also applies to the President’s children. The case was a collision in the Menteng area of Jakarta involving President Soeharto’s son, Sigit. The accident occurred between a Fiat 73 Station Wagon with plate number B 7620 V driven by Sigit and a Land Rover belonging to the British Embassy.
As a result of the court examination, it was found that the cause of the accident was caused by Sigit, who was driving his car at high speed, exceeding the maximum permitted speed limit. Meanwhile, his opponent, a Land Rover belonging to the British Embassy, entered the main road without giving a signal. From this examination, Sigit was sentenced to a fine of Rp. 300.00 and six days in prison, while the driver of the Ambassador’s vehicle was sentenced to 225 and 4 days in prison. Efforts to be impartial in legal matters are highly prioritized by Hoegeng as National Police Chief. Neither the official nor the President’s son can escape punishment if proven guilty. Even when Hoegeng was Kaporli, he once stopped at an intersection and became a police officer controlling traffic, which at that time was in a traffic jam. When people asked why he did this, Hoegeng answered, “I’m a police officer, but I’m also a police officer.”
