THE 3RD INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON HISTORY EDUCATION (2019)

The 3rd International Conference on History Education was held at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) in Bandung, Indonesia. The conference was held from 24th to 26th September 2019, and it was organized by the Department of History Education, Faculty of Social Science and Humanities, UPI.

The conference program was spread over three days and included various activities. On the first day, the conference started with the opening ceremony, which included a welcome speech by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities, UPI, and a keynote address by Professor Anthony Clarke from the University of Tasmania, Australia. The keynote speech focused on the theme of the conference and provided insights on the importance of connecting histories in history education.

The second day of the conference featured paper presentations, workshops, and roundtable discussions. The paper presentations were organized into different sessions, and each session included several presentations on related topics. The workshops were conducted by experts in the field of history education, and they provided participants with practical skills and knowledge related to teaching history. The roundtable discussions were designed to facilitate dialogue and collaboration among participants, and they focused on different themes related to the conference theme.

The final day of the conference included more paper presentations, a panel discussion, and a closing ceremony. The panel discussion featured experts in the field of history education, and they discussed the challenges and opportunities for history education in the 21st century.
