Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia held the 2021 Campus Orientation Period and Public Lectures (MOKAKU) activities for three days from 26,27, and 28 August 2021. The 2021 MOKAKU activity was attended by 11,450 students from the 2021/2022 class ranging from diploma, undergraduate, master’s levels, and doctor.
MOKAKU, which carries the theme “Education in the Era of Society 5.0,” is a series of initial activities for new students to get to know the academic and student environment at the Indonesian Education University. The MOKAKU activity was also conveyed regarding the learning system and to accelerate adaptation to the new environment with the online system during the Covid-19 pandemic and the New Normal era in universities. In general, this introduction period is a medium for delivering information about the profile and institutions of higher education institutions, academic programs, student programs, UPI facilities, and infrastructure. In particular, this activity is the development of idealism, instilling and fostering an attitude of love for the homeland, concern for the higher education environment within the Indonesian Education University in order to create a generation that is honest, intelligent, caring, responsible, and challenging towards the alma mater.
At the 2021 MOKAKU Activities, UPI presented national figures including Nadiem Anwar Makarim, B.A., M.B.A, Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. H. Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, B.B.A., M.B.A, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Karim Suryadi M.Si. (Chairman of the Council of Professors of PTN-BH for the Period 2020-2021) and Chair of the Board of Professors of UPI for the Period of 2021-2023), and Prof. Dr. Sunaryo Kartadinata, M.Pd as Indonesian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Concurrently Kyrgyzstan.
